Where does SerpFire come from?

SerpFire is our way to honor a friend and inspiration to many SEOs, Hamlet Batista, who passed away in January 2021 due to complications From COVID 19.

He was one of the most innovative, kindest, helpful souls in our industry who was the main proponent for bringing the computer language Python into use by SEOS. He was also very active on Twitter. He used it to promote the work of those pioneering on the cutting edge of innovation.

Here's a great example:

He signed off each tweet with a 🐍 🔥 and we couldn't think of a better way to honor him than to name our company after the iconic serpent (which stood for Python) and fire which stood for something that he thought was fire.

Most importantly he taught me to dream big, give back as much as I can, and collaborate with others as much and as often as possible.

SerpFire is my way of honoring Hamlet and his impact on both the field of SEO and the people who practice it.
